Email delivery issues to candidate Gmail accounts

Incident Report for Talentech

Identified

Over the past several weeks, we have observed an increase in customer reports that emails sent to Gmail recipients are intermittently routed to spam or not delivered at all. Our internal logs, delivery tracking, and monitoring confirm that Gmail servers are receiving and accepting these messages. However, there appears to be inconsistent behavior on Google’s side, where some emails do not reach the intended inbox, suggesting a possible filtering or post-acceptance issue.

To address this, we have contacted Google to formally report the behavior and seek insight into the root cause. Our goal is to determine whether recent changes in Gmail’s filtering, policies, or infrastructure may be contributing to the disruption.

At the same time, we have thoroughly reviewed our email infrastructure and authentication setup. Our sending domain is fully DMARC-compliant, with proper SPF and DKIM alignment. Additionally, our monitoring systems—covering blacklist status, sender reputation, and deliverability metrics—have not identified any anomalies or issues that would typically explain this behavior.
